Cement brick components
Cement brick is one of the basic units used in construction, which may contain one or more cavities, and is usually poured and dried outside the work site, consisting of a mixture of Portland cement, a low percentage of gravel, water, and a high percentage of sand, to be the final product Light gray cement block

with a smooth surface and high compressive strength, where a typical cement brick unit weighs between (17.2-19.5 kg), the cement may be replaced with ash so that the resulting brick is sound and heat insulating more than cement bricks, or it may replace gravel and sand Oil shale, or expanded clay, to produce a lightweight cement brick, weighing between (10.0-12.7 kg).

Cement brick making machinery
Cement bricks are widely used to build walls in addition to making decorations, and it is made through several sequential steps, as follows:

The mold to be cast in the desired dimensions is made of materials such as plywood used in construction.
The mixture consisting of bricks is made by mixing the ready-made cement powder with water, where the dry materials are mixed with water by a shovel.

Pour the mixture into molds and remove excess from the mixture with a flat trowel.
Leave the molds to dry for about two weeks, making sure to cover them with a wet blanket to avoid cracking during processing.
The concrete units known as bricks are taken out to be ready for use.

Advantages of using bricks in construction
The use of bricks of all kinds in the construction process has several advantages, some of which are:

It is aesthetically pleasing as it is available in several colours.
It has high compressive strength.
Porosity, which plays a role in absorbing moisture and regulating temperature.
Provides fire protection for up to 6 hours.
It is sound and heat insulator.
It has abrasion resistance compared to wood.
