Thermal insulation methods
Thermal insulation is very necessary for homes, as nearly half of the heat can be transferred from inside the house to outside if the house is not thermally insulated. Which helps to insulate the house thermally:

Install sealing strips on the door frame, which prevents heat from escaping from those cracks.
Fill cracks and holes around window frames and floors if any.
Double glazing installation for windows.
Installing a type of thermal insulation for roofs and attics.
Add curtains to the windows.

Types of thermal insulation
The types of thermal insulation differ according to their function and the places where they are installed in the house, but they all share the insulation between two different temperatures, and the following are some types of thermal insulation:

Thermal insulation blankets made of fiberglass, plastic. or rock wool.
Concrete blocks, made of concrete, to which insulating foam or some air spaces can be added.
Foam panels made of polystyrene or polyurethane.
Insulating concrete panels.
Spray insulator, which is available in the form of sprayable containers, as it is applied to fill cracks and narrow places.

Thermal insulation principle
Heat is transmitted in three ways: convection, conduction, and radiation, and thus the house loses heat depending on one or all of these methods together. The house loses approximately 15% of the heat through the floors, 25% through doors and windows, and 35% from the walls. and 25% of the attic or the roof, and thus thermal insulation separates areas with low temperatures from high ones, which prevents between heat and its transfer from high to low temperatures, that is, it reduces heat transfer by one or all methods of physical transmission
